Our Dentists
Dr Nina has been part of the Sandgate Family Dental team for several years and is a familiar face to many of our regular patients and families in the Sandgate area.
She provides care across general dentistry, preventive treatments and restorative procedures, and takes the time to explain each treatment option clearly so you can make informed decisions about your dental health.
Dr Nina is known for her calm, unhurried approach to appointments. She is particularly mindful of patients who feel anxious or uncertain about dental treatment, and works at a pace that feels comfortable for each individual.
Dr Nima graduated with her Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2011 from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University (TNMGRMU) in Chennai, India. After graduating, she practiced in both public and private dental clinics across Victoria for eight years before relocating to Brisbane and joining the team at Sandgate Family Dental.
She provides general dental care for patients of all ages, with a focus on helping each person maintain good oral health over the long term. Dr Nima takes a calm, supportive approach — particularly with patients who haven’t visited a dentist in some time, or families bringing young children in for their first appointments.
Outside the clinic, Dr Nima enjoys spending time with her three children and stays active through martial arts, hiking and cooking.

Our dental assistants are a key part of every visit at Sandgate Family Dental. They prepare treatment rooms, assist our dentists during procedures and help make sure your appointment runs smoothly from check-in to checkout. For many patients — especially children and those who feel a little nervous — our assistants are the first welcoming face they see when they arrive at our Sandgate clinic.

Meet Jess, one of the friendly faces of Sandgate Family Dental!
As both a Receptionist and Dental Assistant of two years, Jess plays a vital role in ensuring that every patient
feels welcomed and cared for. In her dual role, Jess manages the front desk, where she greets patients,
schedules appointments, and handles inquiries. As a Dental Assistant, she works closely with Dr Nina; assisting
during procedures and making sure patients are comfortable throughout their treatment.
Jess is originally from Brisbane, and spends her free time soaking in the sunshine at our beautiful beaches, and
visiting as many cafes and restaurants as possible. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Psychological Science
at the University of Queensland, and enjoys connecting and chatting with new people. Jess’s friendly nature
and warm personality make her a beloved member of the Sandgate Family Dental team!
